Chrome always impresses with its smooth finish. But look how fantastic it is with its mirrored finish.
Chrome-plate your dash, grill, door handles, mirrors and it will transform your car into a spectacular show piece.
Real electroplating (copper, nickel, chrome) on plastic involves many complicated processes of many steps. Isn’t it reassuring to learn that we have over 42 years of experience in chroming on plastic and fibreglass? Could you get excited about that?

Copper-plated action figures/Sport award.
We specialize copper-plating, nickel-plating or gold-plating sports and corporate awards on all organic materials (No metal)
The 2 McMillan brothers have friends and they all have either younger or older brothers and they all play sport together.
To an older brother, a little brother may be seen as a tag along and pain in the neck.
To a younger brother the older brother may be a guide along the path of growing up. And brotherly love is something we all need.
All the brothers and friends get together because they all love playing sports. With 10 different sporting challenges there is never a dull moment. One of the challenges was a race where a brother had to carry the other brother for 80 m. They also enjoy sitting together and playing trivia. At the award presentation he who had the highest points wins and receives an award for the specific achievements. The Bronzing studio copper-plated the action figures and then mounted them onto a wooden base with a plaque. The theme was “Bring a brother to Breakfast”
For this special annual event one of the brothers had to get dressed up by the other, this was hilarious as Nathan the muscle man was dressed in a tiny belly dancer skirt (see picture)
Often, the reward of the trophy is not simply in winning it; rather, those who win it cherish the memories that also come with the trophy.
Proud to say that the 2 McMillan brothers won the trophy for 2011
Nobody who ever gave his best regretted it.
Where would we be in this world if we didn’t have a friend? (or a brother?)

Did you know that we also cater for bathroom renovators who want their plastic taps and fittings re-chromed?
A big part of our business is to chrome-plate plastic and fibreglass dashboards, grills, mirrors, door handles.
One of our customers inquired if we can chrome plate a blade of grass. The grass was where he met his fiancee 1o years ago.
Nothing surprises us anymore, but the imagination certainly went wild at exactly why people want things electroplated.
We bronzed wedding lingerie, lace on wedding dresses, umbilical cords, silk booties, dummies, body parts and even
coverd dim sums in 24 k gold. As well as helping artists with sculptures we assist people who want to preserve and protect their keepsakes and heirlooms to turn them into keepsakes. It’s all about eternalising a moment in time.
When we cover keepsakes like baby shoes and hospital bands we are preserving the moment in which these people came onto Earth.
Chrometech has also restored and covered objects tied to people leaving Earth, including a pair of sunglasses
owned by Elvis Presley, but now the property of a collector of Elvis memorabilia. We also chrome plated a rose from Elvis’s casket.
People have asked to electroplate half-eaten hamburgers, doughnuts, computer games, jeans and dog collars. A director from the crematorium asked us if we could preserve a chicken leg, in an investigation into whether human bodies will be able to be preserved
in the future. Technically we could preserve a human body, but it is morbid and imagine the licences you’d need.
Selectively bronzed lace

One of our customers, a young lady in her final year of studying fashion design is working on her final project. She wants to bring back romance and is creating an absolute amazing piece of art. In her mind she saw a stunning and wonderful design and wanted to incorporate the technique of electroforming (or bronzing as people call it) part of the dress. Finding someone to do that incredible labour intensive job was a hard task. She searched the internet for electroforming (bronzing technique) and came to our website. After long discussions and reasoning why it couldn’t be done the way she imagined she never accepted no for an answer. Walter gave her a few other ideas like electroplating the collar that could be re-attached after bronzing and also bronzing a long piece of lace that could be cut in pieces and then sown on afterwards.
The incredible bubbly young lady was over the moon that she could still do part of the dress as she wanted. Lace used to be popular for decorating accessories, such as collars or handkerchiefs. Have a look at paintings where you find a lot of lace on men and women.
Apparently Henry III used 4,000 yards of lace for one outfit, as many husbands outdid their wives in adorning themselves. This young lady had an incredible imagination and is in the process of stitching on all the bronzed lace. This dress will be sensational stunning and unique. We at the Bronzing Studio can’t wait for the cat walk in November.

| Resurrection of a rusted Austin A 30 grill |
| Nobody thought it possible to resurrect this Austin A 30 grill. It looked like it was ready to be buried. It was completely rusted through. When I say rusted I mean rusted. The holes in the previously chromed grill were up to 5mm or more in diameter and some of the metal was paper thin. There was no chrome to be seen on the grill and I assume some bloody electroplater left in in the strip too long and stripped the hell out of it. As chrome-plated Austin A 30 grills are not easily available, the customer didn’t have much of a choice and availed himself of Chrometech’s service. Chrometech restructured and fortified the grill with resin and fiberglass, filled the holes with putty, highfilled it, rubbed it back and proceeded with the activating process prior to chrome-plating the now mostly non conductive grill. The end result was unbelievable. The chromeplated Austin A 30 was featured in a car magazine and was brought back to life. |

Nothing is impossible
This RX7 has undergone a five year conversion into a brilliant piece of art. “Jealous Ahura” the name of the car was flown from Malaysia (Apparently the car belongs to a crown prince of Indonesia) to participate at the Motor ex held in Sydney on July 11th and 12th. It was the first time that an an International car took part in the exhibition. The car has 10.000 Swarovski crystals encrusted, even in wheels you can find crystals. The car is worth about $ 250.000. All the interior plastic car parts were chrome-plated by Chrometech.
At the show you could find hot rods, street machines, all American car, motorbikes. An auction was held on Sunday. We at Chrometech also participated and had a great response. A lot of people were impressed with the electroplated fiberglass for the hot rods. This opens a market and can add value from just the fiberglass parts to a shinning pride. A lot of cars were at the exhibition that had the parts chrome-plated by Chrometech. If it’s good enough for the Prince to use the services of Chrometech, we must talk quality electroplating.
Bronzed Face mask

Bronzed Sleep apnoea mask.

Nothing is impossible to bronze
Sleep apnoea, a disruption of breathing while asleep, is a deceiving sleep disorder – 90% of people who have sleep apnoea don’t know that they have it! Wow this is a huge amount. When you stop breathing, your brain does not get enough oxygen. Serious problems can result such as learning and memory problems etc.(I wonder if I have that disease?) A lot of masks are being sold. At the Bronzing Studio we have bronzed some of the masks and made them into corporate awards. It was a very challenging job. The silicone rubber of the mouth piece is paper thin and very few things adhere to it. The rubber is extremely flexible and this required a lot of skills to bronze. The 2 prongs at the bottom of the mask were deliberately put there so we could mount the mask. There is absolutely nothing that we cannot bronze. I dare you to think of something.

Once upon a time in pre-Victorian Europe apparently mostly the aristocratic men wore lace and the women were plainer. But today’s men and women alike wear lacy and sheer underwear. It may be in the form G-strings, Thongs, Tangas or whatever they call them. Chrometech can Chrome-plate on any material such as plastic, fibreglass, resin cotton, silk etc. Lacy undies are made of Cotton and Lycra to hug and stretch in all the right places. Many of us are blessed with healthy backsides worthy of an award. That’s exactly what we did; an award for a underwear company I don’t know what the occasion was to create this award, but it sure attracted some comments when it was in our showroom Our Logo is “You name it we Chrome it” This could be a breakthrough for the fashion industry to electroplate something in chrome.
Gold-plated Umbilical cord

Gold-plated Umbilical cords.
I always told you that we at the Bronzing Studio bronze weird and wonderful things.
The umbilical cord (also called the birth cord ) is the connecting cord from the developing embryo or fetus to the placenta.
It forms by the fifth week of fetal development.
Clamping is followed by cutting of the cord, which is painless due to the lack of any nerves. The cord is extremely tough, like thick sinew.
Some of our customers (mainly Asians) have the cords gold-plated because it is the closest link between mother and child.
Some people keep their Kidney stones or Gallbladder stones in a jar to remember the pain.
At the Bronzing Studio we never know in the morning what sort of items come in.
We even had a phone call to ask if we could Bronze a piece of foreskin. (Yuck)
Leave me a comment on my blog and tell me what you are thinking about Bronzed umbilical cords or bronzed foreskin.
